I am white and i am a minority where i live, but in till the other day had never really been discriminated against or verbally abused for the color of my skin.

Wow where my eyes opened !
After being told that i am a "pink devil, who smells like bacon and my hair smells like dog" And that i must get my "pink Devil butt out of my country, before its to late, as the day is coming where they will be coming door to door to remove me and all the other pink devil's"

I can tell you it is put in to sharp focus when you are on the reviving end.

I can honestly say I have never experienced anything to that degree . . .how horrible! The most I've had was working at a lawn care company and having (mostly men) talk to me like I couldn't possibly know anything about lawn care & I must have been hired simply to answer the phone (because I was a woman) was rather offensive. I also used to work in collections at a loan company and one of my accounts refused to speak to me because I was a part of "White Corporate America" and so I would never understand him or my he refused to pay his loan back. I explained to him I did not see how the color of his skin made a difference . . . I couldn't see him, I didn't target anyone, there was no way I could . . . I called people that were 90 days past due on their loan . . . period! That went no where, I had to pass the account to another gal in the office who was colored, and then she had to PROVE her 'blackness' to him over the phone before he would agree to talk to her . . . . I honestly don't think we ever got the real reason why he refused to pay his bill.

racism and discrimination in any form is WRONG!!!! I could go on for hours (especially since I'm just finishing up a race and diversity class) about the wrongness people have done to others based on color, religion, heritage, etc! It's simply terrible!
