I'm assuming you were going to say no idea where to start? Correct me if I'm wrong...
No matter where you live, it's a great thing for your family to do!!
1. check into what your state's requirements are: you can goto HSLDA.org and click on your state.
2. check for a state homeschooling group. I'm in Michigan and we have INCH. If you have a state group, goto their website and see if they have any listings for local support groups or co-ops. This will be great for getting ideas, encouragement, "socialization" and new friends!
3. I recommend Cathy Duffy's "Top 100 Homeschool Picks." She has two quizes: one for your teaching style, and another for your child(ren)'s learning style(s). Then you check her handy chart and get a list of cirriculums or programs that would probably work for you and your situation. That's the only thing I don't like about a new Mom coming on these websites asking for beginner's advice. Everyone claims their program is the best... but that's the great thing about homeschooling, everyone's family and home is different!!
Good luck in your quest and I hope you choose this great adventure of homeschooling!!
