Has anyone used the three day potty training method? I just saw someone mention it on this site and don’t know anything about it. I have a 2 ½ year old girl who is interested in potty training, but I am not sure that locking ourselves in the house for two weeks to potty train is the answer. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

We try to stay in the house for about a week to get down a potty routine. We get rid of the diapers and use a timer to remind us when to go. The first day can be a nightmare but every day after is an improvement. I've potty trained 2 so far and 1 to go. Good luck with it!

I found that when your child is ready to use the potty she/he will use it. The main thing is don't force them to use the potty. My daughter only used the potty for wees and asked for the nappy for poos. This started from 2 1/2 yrs old. When ever we went out anywhere I took the potty with me. When we were in a shopping centre we tried the normal toilet and she went. Now at 3 1/2 she does everything herself. Hope this is helpful
