thanks everyone. ds seems to be doin better now that he is finally drinking some.. now i just wish he would try to eat something

Pedialyte, over the counter from the pharmacy (or other branded rehydration drink, if you're not in the States). It can be made into popsicles if your child doesn't want to drink much fluid.
Ashley's suggestion re heat to ease cramps is also excellent.

a hot water bottle or electric blanket type thing over the stomach can help with stomach cramps. also keeping a child hydrated tends to help lessen stomach pains as well. I hope your little one feels better soon.

Chamomile tea deluted is helpful....
