Any luck with stretch marks?

Hey,

Has anyone had any luck with getting rid of stretch marks? I don't have a lot of money and every time I look into what "works" it's always really expensive. Right now, even the Mederma or Bio-oil would be an investment for me, I don't want to spend $30 on a tiny little bottle if it doesn't work.

I shouldn't complain because I really lucked out and didn't get any on my stomach and I was back to my prepregnancy weight by the time my daughter was 7 months old. I used Palmers Cocoa Butter through out my pregnancy on my stomach and breast and my stomach is fine but my breast are not. I've still been using Palmers but I don't know if it's doing anything.

I think the breast stretch marks are worse because I had a breast reduction when I was 17 because I had really large breast (I was a 34 FF, they didn't even make my size because I was so small around the middle) I was a 34 B/C afterward, but now that I've had my daughter and nursed her I'm a 34 C/D but my breast are covered in stretch marks, some light ones from before my pregnancy, and some really thick ones from pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Did anyone have any luck with OTC creams or anything? I will spend $30 if someone says it worked for them, but if the truth is that I'm stuck with these stretch marks I'd rather save the $30.

It Works! offers the Ultimate Body Applicator and a Defining Gel which both help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. I didn't believe anything could make a drastic difference in just an hour but the wrap which detoxifies, tightens, and firms really does. I lost two inches off my waist and my stomach was smooth. https://shotwellwraps.myitworks.com

hey Callie, that's my daughter's name, except we did the hawaiian/indian spelling of Kali.

As long as we're sharing stretch mark patterns I have the worth stretch marks... down there! Like from actually giving birth. it's so weird. I never noticed them until I was in a bikini at the beach and I saw these stretch marks coming out from the crotch of my bathing suit. i didn't have them when i was pregnant, they are solely from giving birth.

The ones that are on my boobs are the worse, I swear I have one going from my armpit to nipple on both breast that's a centimeter thick almost! luckily they make bikini tops that cover that area and if i wear a bra and my boobs are pushed up they seem to "disapear" but if I'm not wear a very supportive bra it looks pretty bad : / Oh well! I'll just be grateful they aren't all over my body and that I have a beautiful little girl out of it. Thanks for the advice!

I might try bio oil on my breasts, thanks again!

I use lanolin cream which is like mixed with other stuff and sinks right in lol. Bio hasn't ever stained my clothes either that I know of.

Ok, this isn't probably what you want to hear but there is nothing that will make stretch marks completely go away. Stretch marks are scars. They won't disappear. They may fade in time but will never be completely gone. You can try all the creams and lotions you want but nothing will prevent them or make them or make them disappear unless you want them surgically removed which will leave a scar of its own. Stretch marks are caused when you grow faster than your skin will stretch. I have stretch marks from puberty (although they are the same color as the rest of my skin) and I'm 27. Like any scar the dark color may fade in time but exposure to the sun may make them darker. My sisters surgeon told her that vitamin D oil can help reduce the discoloration in a scar but has to be used from the beginning. Don't waste your money on 'stretch mark' products, time and proper skin care will do the same thing at minimal cost. Consider yourself very luck not to have a ton of stretch marks. I have, what I call a bullseye. All my stretch marks make a circle right around my belly button but I got a beautiful little girl out of it.

You used lanolin on stretch marks? I never even heard of that. How do you put clothes on afterward with out it ruining your clothes?

Is bio-oil like really oily and stain your clothes? Do you have to sit around with out a shirt on for a while so it soaks in or can you put it on after you get out of the shower and get on with you day?

Lanolin is cheap and works. I used bio oil and it worked aswell but it is kind of expensive.

i used bio oil for maybe 3 months and saw great improvement, well it was either the oil or just those few months they faded a lot! i only had them on my breasts and hips, and the hips have practically faded to almost nothing :) i would definetly reccomend it
