My 3 year old daughter is outgrowing her car seat. Any suggestions for booster seats?

Shanna - what kind of seat do you have? Sounds like mine - it converts to back booster then no-back booster. The longer we can hold off on using the seatbelts and keep them safer in a 5 point harness, the better!

my 4 year old is still in a 5 point harness seat. her seat will eventually go to a high back booster seat and then to a no back booster seat. she is 42 3/4 " tall and weighs 36 lbs. and she still has height and weight to grow into. I would check on your state laws and also i would look for a convertable carseat they have ones out there that will go taller for children then most and also higher weight restrictions. I would really look into this before putting her in a booster seat. Good luck!!

We have this seat and love it. Our daughter is 20 months old and it will later convert to a booster for use with the seatbelt (we won't need to buy a booster seat later!). An average 3 year old sized child should still be in a 5-point harness, but it adjusts as the child gets bigger/older.

Go to the to-dayshow.com They have a link to their site with information on car booster seats. Please take time to do this before buying a seat. I saw the item on tv this morning, lots of good info on seats and how long to keep your child in them, more importantly a list of seats that are the best to buy, ok to buy and not to buy.

I have a 5 year old and a 4 year old and we travel a little during the year, I bought them each a bigger car seat (they have them for up to 65 pounds) to just keep them safer and more comfy. But I have to say the were $179 a piece down to $129 on sale but this is what I did. I only found them at Burlington Coat Factory though otherwise like Walmart and such had ones that didn't seem big enough. ( I would say to when you buy one put your daughter in it before you buy it because they are pricey and going to be used for a while) Mine recline and everything so they work for me but you can get a booster seat anywhere really. I also went for the side inpact one too.
