My 18 month old is showing definite signs of being interested in potty training. She went on her potty several times over the weekend! The problem is that the smallest size I can find underwear in is 2T, and she is very slim- still wearing 12-18 month pants. Any suggestions?

Wal-mart fruit of the loom undies in the 2T/3T were what worked for us. They run smaller than other brands, and if you wash them in hot water and over dry a little they fit quite nicely. My 26 month old still wears a 12 month skirt/shorts.

We had the same problem.even gerber 18 moth undes were huge. For cloth training pants try fashionably green baby!! We ordered her AI2 pull ups in a small for our 17lb 18 mo old........she wore them for 10 months before she finally figured out they weren't really big girl undies........so for undies look up mothergoosedesigns........she custom makes undies.....expensive, but i figure with the money we saved with cloth diapers and cloth pullups, we could swing it!

i had exact same problem with my son, he was vey tiny for his age and was potty trained at 15 months. I did the same thing, bought small pants, boil washed them to shrink them. My son was four at christmas and now weighs around 29-30lb.

I had the same problem with my son, he was very tall and slim and nothing would stay on his waste.
If buying from a department store i would take them out of the package and look at the size because you would be surprised at size difference.
Im not sure where you live but there is a store called Please Mum and they carry XS underwear for childern, that are made perfectly for the slim child...another place that is good for carring cloths for the slim child is the Children's Place..these are the only two stores i can buy pants or underwear for my son

that the way my daughter was too, i found(at walmart) fruit of the loom undies..i believe they were a size 2t but once you get em home and wash em..they shrink a bit..my daughter has always been tiny too(she'll be 3 in july and still only at 26 pounds) and they worked for her! hope they work for yours as well!
