I have a 15 month old....he is my first child. I was wondering what the age range is for potty training.

He is very interested in the toilet now. He looks at it with the wondering face like..."Hmm...what's that for?" I thought it would be too early, but he does have somewhat of an interest in it. And he LOVES being like daddy, so if he can potty like daddy, he will feel more like daddy..it's hard to explain. But he loves to be independent & he wants to grow up. I feel like I can try to start now, and if he doesn't take to it, then wait a bit, try again in 2 or 3 months.

i started potty training my son when he was two he was trained within a week. i put him in big boy underwear and told him not to go in them and that when he went to the potty he would get a treat. I am working with my daughter now i started her about two weeks ago and she is almost completely potty trained. i used the same thing with both of them... its important that they can communicate with you and understand what you are telling them. it really depends on the child but in my opinion i would say prob two and a half... i hope this helps

depends on the kid and their readiness i'd say...but i introduced the potty (with pants on) around that same age, gradually giving her exposure to the idea while i was going too. as she got older we started trying it in the morning, or before bed, or before a bath...if she went she went (and i made a huge deal out of it!) if not, no biggie. at least with that slow exposure she hasn't had fear of the potty like some kids do. she's 21 months now and is getting to the point where i can ask her to go and she will...but i haven't tried seriously potty training yet. gonna wait till she's 2, then get rid of diapers for a few days and hope we survive it. lol

I started around 18 months old!! It depends on the child and the mom... I would say once you start you cant go back... and pull ups do not help they seem to be a glorified diaper. Hope this helps!!!
