My 1 year old is great about drinking from his sippy cup, water, juice, or milk, and is slowly being sweaned off breastfeeding with no problems. Only issue is that he loves to take a few sips and then let some dribble our of the side of his mouth. Not a huge problem with water because of bibs, but he is walking now and drinking milk and my carpets are not going to survive if I cannot break him of this habit. He does it every where, and it started with gargling it. We always correct him and if he does it more than twice at any time, we take it away temporarily. Any ideas?

My son did this too and eventually he just stopped. I just made sure to put him in his chair when he was drinking for that faze.

My kids did that for awhile and still does it once in awhile. But eventually I did when I know they start spitting it out, I take it away and then awhile I give it back to them. Just like a rutine. They start getting the fact that it's more to drink it than to play with it. But they still have thier fun once in awhile when they know im not looking :D
