I have a 2 year old girl, and she use to love bath time. We had her putting her face in the water and blow bubbles. All of a sudden she is afraid of it. I have tried taking a bath with her and different toys, painting and coloring in the bath. When I pour water on her to wash her up she screams as if I am pouring hot water on her and I have the baths cooler then I normaly do. We have tried showers and that is just as much screaming.

My son used to love baths too. Now he hates them but love the shower. Since he is too little it involves much help from my husband or I. We didnt try sitting in the tub with him so we will try that. Have you tried showering with her?

My one son hates water in his face and washing his hair in the bath was a nightmare. He flat out refused to shower which was a pain because we are big campers. If his brother dared splash water in the bath there was so much screaming I thought he'd been murdered.
I eventually bought him a pair of swimming goggles (eyes and nose covered) and we never had a problem after that. It was hilarious to watch him in the bath or shower with the goggles on.... like a real frogman! He's 9 now and won't swim without goggles although he will shower and bath without them now thank goodness!! Guess we gotta do whatever it takes hey!!

My 2yo did the same thing. I just ended up taking baths with her for a short period of time. I let her poor water over my head and then I would do the same for her. I think the biggest thing was getting water in her eyes. You could try a bath visor to see if that would help. The most important thing to let them know is that it isn't optional to take baths. Maybe you could change the frequency of bath time but it has to be done even if there's screaming. She'll eventually get used to it again.
