My son never refused to eat he just went through a very fussy stage and would turn his nose up and food he had been weaned on. I got him involved in making food...pizza is really good as they can choose what topping to have, he would also help me make fruit salad and other easy dishes he could choose what went in. I was very strict and if he didn't eat he would only be aloud fruit or vegetables to snack on, I would never give him chips/crisps/chocolate etc to avoid bad eating habits. He is fine now (nearly 3) and will help prepare his food and will ask for 'healthy' snacks between meals. He has biscuits etc when we are out for a treat. Good Luck

my daughter is two, and she has gone through three phases of not wanting to eat. It is NO big deal. She will eat when she wants to. If she seems hungry she will let you know. Just remember to give her the food that is good for her when she wants food. If you think she is not getting enough protien..etc. Yogurt is a great supplement to food. I would say the Baby yo yogurt is the one to start with because it is made with whole milk and she still needs that good fat in her diet. I would not go as far as the drink supplement without consulting your doctor or peditrician. My daughter liked nothing but chicken and peas for the longest time until I was growing peas out my ears!!!! but now she has switched to more kid type foods. Mac and Cheese is a big seller and so is Peanut Butter and Jelly on a tortilla....I roll it up like a wrap and slice it up. She loves it. She has also been a huge fruit fan so I have mixed that up to see what other types of fruit she likes instead of just blueberries. Relax on this issue...if she is still very active and running around and being a little girl then she is not starving or hurting her health.....kids go through phases. Now if she looks tired all the time and she is lethargic I would take her to the doctor and have them do an evaluation it could be something more serious...but more than likely she is like anyother kid who is just testing the waters of what she likes and dislikes and trying to set her own schedule....the same thing happens with the sleeping..she'll go back to sleeping through the night soon. My daughter will still not eat red meat..none of it...so we give her yogurt instead until the day comes when she wants a hamburger!!! LOL hope this helps.

I am so sorry I did have a little chuckle because my son how now is four just started eating without the battle every time food is put in front of him, I just had to reply so you don't make the same mistacks as I did he was about the same age and I now know its norm for kids to get fussy or just not eat at this age, we did the stricked parent on him if he did not want to eat that was fine no food till the next main meal, That did not work he just did not eat the next meal because as I found out later eating act makes them hungry for there next meal. we then decided to give him whatever he was willin to eat which was chickin cheese weat bix this was no good eaither so the thing I found worked was cook fun food and let them help eg minni piza finger bread and sitting at the table and he could sit there all day till he ate his food he soon lernt it was not fun todo that it was more fun playing and ate It did tack a long time to get to this point like I said he is four now so a very long time but he is soooooooooo good at eating now and my daugter startd doing the same thing at the same age but niped it in the but and she is really good as well no probs its all about fun food and percistance if still not eating you can bye a drink which is like a meal replacment for kids to help them top up if not eatin anough here it is called sustegen any pharm sells it but not recamend to use as a meal replacement just to fill her up so she has a good sleep till she starts eatinig again also snacking on fruit and small amounts of food six times aday incresses the hunger factor also dose swimming lessons they come home so hungry. I hope I helped sorry about the typing I hurt my hand so I only have one to use its soooo hard but anyway good luck if I can help in any way just ask.
