Burping, burping, burping...

This is not a question on how to burp a baby, mine is 2 years old and is constantly burping. She will burp like 3-5 times in a row. She just laughs about it but it makes me wonder if she has problems in her stomach or something.... just wondering if anyone has come across this at all? Or if its just an attention thing also... Thank you!

My son does this too. I think he just figured out how to make himself burp and will do it several times right after he's had a drink. I just ask him to stop because it's rude (and gross!) and he does. If your daughter doesn't act like her stomach is bothering her then i wouldn't worry about it.

Jill- Thank you so much for the post... I am so worried. I just over react I guess.
Jennifer- I did teach her to say excuse me so at least she does that! lol. I hope she grows out of it too. I always think the worst when it comes to my kids... is this just me? Lol :)

Burping could be from drinking or eating too fast or her body's way of releasing extra gas. I wouldn't worry about it being a problem unless she is complaining of pain. My son is almost 3 and constantly farts. I hope it lessens as he gets older. I know their digestive tracts are still developing and growing. I taught him to say excuse me but other than that I ignore it. I don't want him to think it's something he can do for attention.

If it doesn't hurt her, I would leave it alone. If it bothers you, you can mention it to the dr. at your next check up.
