My son got the picture by going in and watching daddy go. At home he mostly runs around naked and he goes in the potty consistantly but if he has a diaper or underwear on he will just go in them.

My friend got her son trained by letting him "sink cheerios"....he has to aim at them, now that I think about it, it helps hand eye coordination as well as potty training...lol

I'm in the process of trying to potty train my 3 year old little boy. I give him a little control and tell him "lets go in and "TRY" to go potty".....If we are out and about in public he's better at telling me he's gotta go but at home I still have to remind him to go try it's been in the works for 6 months and he isn't fully interested

we let my lil guy run around naked for the day and he would run to the potty to go pee. we did the typical dance around and cheer and then we got his favorite treat. One accident thats all!

when my son was around 20 months, he kept ripping his clothes off and peeing all over, so i just kept the middle part of his potty handy and everytime i saw the shorts coming off i ran over and held the bucket up for him to pee in. he caught on pretty quick. Also anytime i saw that he was trying to go poopy, i would run him to the toilet and have him sit and finish there.

My son is 2 1/2 and has been trained for a little over a month now. He will not sit to pee. At first he was not into potty training. Then I started using a pee jar and he was fascinated. In the beginning I let him use it at home also as long as he told me he had to go. By the third day he was accident free and started using the toilet. We now only use the jar when we are out. Good luck.

Some boys wont pee sitting but mine does...I just have to get him to sit long enouph(once he is good with that, or is big enough it dosent make me nervous I will have my husband help with standing and aiming) he gets books to read, and I also let him play my Nintendo DS so sitting on the potty is fun...Now we are working on getting him to go on the potty places aside from home
