My niece who I watch a lot is constanly climbing out of the crib! It's driving us nuts! How should we keep her in the crib? I need ideas fast!

Both my kids moved to a toddler bed under the age of two years. It is the safest option and time to nurture their independence. She will love having a 'big girl bed'.

its time for a big kids bed and maybe a babygate in the bedroom doorway to keep her out of touble :) i no i wouldnt sleep if i didnt have a babygate in my 2 year olds bedroom doorway lol

you don't. Toddler bed all the way! My son was in one at 18 months, chances are she'll crawl out for a few days. the only option otherwise is sit with her til she goes to sleep, which usuallly doesn't work.

Sounds like she is ready for a toddler bed. You don't want her to fall out and get hurt.

You can't. Try for a toddler bed. She is done sleeping in the crib because it's too dangerous for her. You can also try putting the crib mattress on the floor, but now, it's almost too cold to do that since it's winter. Good luck.

I think once they get to the stage where they can climb out, you could perhaps start thinking about putting them in a bed, or taking the side of the crib off. It is safer that way. I do realise it then becomes about how to get them to stay in their bed, and that's a whole other discussion re settling and sleeping! Hmm, probably not the answer you were looking for! I always go for safety first though.
