Desperately need tips for weaning

Hi,

My son is 14 months+ and I am having a hard time trying to wean him off!
since I have broken my leg an I am on complete bed rest, he sleeps next to me.He takes proper dinner and then I put him to bed around 8.30 pm by breast feeding him. After that he wakes up after 2 odd hrs and wants my feed again, and again after 2-3 hrs. And if I give him the bottles instead, he howls and cries till he chokes on his own tears! my sister tried to take him to the other room also so that he will take the bottle there but he keeps on cryin and crying even for half hour!
can someone pls advise how can i wean him?

Hi Valerie!



He takes bottle during the day. Thats nt a problem. Only at night he acts like this. I think I have to make him sleep in the other room and see if it works. Thanks for replying:-)

if he sleeps with you i think it is harder to wean for one you are there and for two he can smell you...if he doesn't i would feed him in his room until he goes back to sleep...try giving bottles and cups during the day to get him used to them instead of you...not too much in them so they are easy for him to lift and use...perhaps pump breast milk and try that and dilute slowly by mixing with other milk...i hope your leg heals quickly...all the best www.virtuesvillagellc.com
