i have been trying to lose the baby weight. my son will be 3 in may. i have tried diet pills and just about everything else. i would just like some advice. i would also like to hear how others moms have done to lose the weight and what they did. what worked for them.

I am doing the Paleo Diet and I lost 10 pounds in the first two weeks! Since then it's been slower coming off but I'm not hungry, I sleep better, I have more energy, I'm less irratable, I've had no cramps during my period and I've been more regular.
The basic concept is to eat like a caveman - only lean meat, fruit, and vegetables. No grains, sugar or dairy. I thought it would be hard to give up pasta and bread since most of my diet was made up of those prior to trying this but I am LOVING it. The food I'm eating now is flavorful and I'm not eating the same thing every day.

i tryed the 30-day isagenix (you can find it online) its expensive but worth it!! i have a 3yr old then recently had another boy about 6 months ago and started this program 5 months ago and have lost over 40lbs with just simple food changes and 30min workouts everyother day...check it out it's shakes and bars and things...they all taste really good too

Also, keep a food diary. I was convinced I was eating less than 1000 calories a day until I started a food diary. Write down everything that even touches your mouth. I actually was eating only about 850 cals. a day until dinner/after dinner where the bulk was late night snacking and I wasn't losing weight because of the extra calories late at night. Even grazing with bites just here and there throughout the day add up. If you can, make an appointment with a nutritionist. Your doctor can refer you to a dietician or weight loss program if you feel you need it.

I've had 8! kids and am fighting with the 10 that I've gained since I stopped nursing. I was able to keep the weight off by walking 30 mins and have also joined an excercise/bootcamp class that is 2x a week. I also try to eat whole grains, veggies and lots of fruit.

Breast feeding really helped me. I am an older mom and I thought it would be really hard for me. Walking, fruit, chicken breasts and water. I got hungry and now I have gained some back, lol.

Breastfeeding did it for me. I breastfed my son until he was 18 mths. Before i had him i was in a size 12. I am now in a size 8. All from breastfeeding, never had to exercise.

Diet and exercise, and I don't mean a "crash diet." Try to eat healthy fresh foods at least at 2 meals a day, and walk, run, join a gym, take a class, get exercise DVDs, etc. at least 4 times a week, 30 minutes at a time. NOT EASY but you will see results. The eating has to become a lifestyle, not a quick fix.

I used to walk to town and back every day, didn't feel like exercise. Stay away from fast food and sugary drinks. Lots of water and fruit and vegetables. Fish twice a week.
