My husband and I can longer have kids due to the cancer he had 2 years ago. However, we were lucky enough to have a daughter before his diagnosis. She is now 4 years old. We are struggling with some of her behaviors. She has a hard time sharing and letting other kids help her when it comes time to clean up. She also is very independent and wants things her way. We have tried to explain to her the importance of sharing and being nice to others. She will tell us how sorry she is. She will even talk to us later about how she will be nicer next time and share her things. However, when the next time comes, she does the behaviior all over again.

Any advice?

My son is only 2, but he's having a problem at daycare with sharing. He only sees his half siblings every other weekend, so it's a problem. We practice sharing with him. He'll share food, but not toys!

Hi My Daughter is only two, but if she does not want to play nice or share or even put her toys away, then I tell her they go in to the garbage. and she has a time out with a spanking. When we play together I always ask for her to share some thing with me and i would tell her how she was a good girl and how nice she is to have shared. They may or may not be her toys but if she wants to play with them she has to learn to share and get along. I not sure if this helped you or not, but it has really worked for me. I now have no problems when it comes down to sharing, being nice and putting her toys away. Tanya
