i use the tear free coppertone water babies spf50. water proof/ sweat proof, just reapply every like 4-5 hrs. i get the spray cans, makes it easier for ME, but it is a lot more and i think it wastes more in the sprays. Sams/ Costco sells it in big packages for about 1/2 of what one in wallyworld sells for, just FYI

I use Coppertone Sport sweatproof spf 70 on my son b/c of how active he is outside. It works really well.

I like the Water Babies stuff and they have a stick for the face. It looks like a tube of chapstick only bigger and thicker. Last year I had a problem with my son using banana boat. I would put it on his face (carefully avoiding his eyes) well he would somehow manage to get it in his eyes and his eyes would get all puffy and red and start watering. It was horrible (the bottle said "tear free") With the tube from water babies it is easy to apply to his face and it doesn't get into his eyes. I love it!! :)

I can tell you what NOT to get.... any sunscreen that uses nano technology. In other words, some new ones claim to make zinc invisible so that you get the benefit of that thick white zinc but invisible. The problem there is that in minimizing the zinc particles, they're small enough to sink right into the skin and they're now finding this could be very bad and cause cancers etc. I'm serious, it's been in the papers and the other night on our tv news. Don't get sucked into this new method of making zinc invisible....they're now saying it hasn't been tested for long term effects and we need to be careful and protective of our little ones. Go for the more natural products chemical free in any way you can..... bath products, moisturizers, the lot. Good luck!

My son is a white as can be and we use banana boat baby spf 50. He has never been sunburn! Plus he has allergies and it is very mild.

Coppertone Water Babies. My daughter is extremely light and her skin is very sensitive to the sun. The 30 spf actually works really well on her skin. Hopefully that helps you!!!
