Has anyone put ovaltine in there toddlers milk to make them drink more. I just took away my 21 month olds bottles and he will hardly drink any milk out of a cup. I have tried every cup possible. My doctor suggested the ovaltine, but I am afraid he will never want to drink regular milk if I introduce the ovaltine. Or is that better than nothing?

Ovaltine is good, but supposedly Nestle Quik is supposed to have more nutritional value. Your baby might like the taste of chocolate milk better, and if that's a way to get him to start drinking it then it's better than nothing I think. Then maybe each time you can lessen the amount you put in his milk so that it's more milk and less chocolate. And also, just keep trying regular milk occasionally. Toddlers opinions of food and drink change the more times they are offered something. They are just such creatures of habit that it's hard for them to switch from one thing to another so quickly. Have you tried you a Next Step formula? It's got more milk protein and is kind of the transition from formula or breast feeding to milk. Then maybe it would make the transition a little easier for you and him.
