Okay so after a lot of thought i have decided to do a fairy themed 2nd birthday but she has quite a few boy buddys and i cant really see them wanting to dress up as a fairy, so need a few ideas for the boys please help as i cant change the theme because iv already started buying fairy bits for the party!! woops!

If the boys don't want to dress up like fairies. (and don't assume that - sidenote: my 6-year-old nephew was at his aunt and uncles playing in their toybox. Finally he comes stamping down the stairs in high heels, butterfly wings, tiara, and a wand. "Don't you have any boy toys?" he complained. We laughed so hard we had a hard time getting back up off the floor.)
What about birds? The birds and fairies could fly around together. Wings and a feather headband would make a nice bird.

i second the capes nomination!! you could make them with inexpensive fabric, and let the boys design their own superhero logo with felt!!

I did a princess theme for my daughters 3rd birthday and decided to do pirates for the boys that were there so they wouldn't feel neglected or anything but at that age....they really didn't seem to care....the boys were more interested in playing with my daughters kitchen than anything else, lol

pirates or knights, Pirates are easy make a hat out of Newspaper and got to a party store and get Eye patches or use bandanas.

As long as the moms don't have a problem with it, I wouldn't worry about it. My almost 4yo likes Tinker Bell. In that movie, there are boy fairies too. At the toddler age, it's more about imagination than anything even close to orientation. Personally, I'd just go with the theme.
PS- I have 2 boys.
