Fever, Horrible cough, body ache...(tylenol, breathing treatment, motrin..done still not working)

my beautiful baby girl has a horrible horrible horrible cough, alongside a great 101.4 fever to top it off. The doctor won't diagnose her with asthma because she is too young but she does have to have nebulizer breathing treatments everytime she gets this way...it's so crazy, but whatever works. However, this time she hasn't gotten any better, I given her tylenol, children motrin....and have even gone to crazy lengths and given her childrens cough medicine that i believe to be the worst thing ever, but when she doesn't sleep at night and wakes up at least 7 times crying because the cough is so bad, i'm left with not other choice. I only gave her the childrenscough medicine once, but don't think it's the solution...after all..there is a reason your body wants you to cough right?. The doctor made her get x rays, and tested her for strep,flu,perstussis..and all came back great..that doesn't mean her cough is gone. Does anybody have any suggestions?

How old is your baby? My son had a nebulizer as a baby. He is now four, and takes on singular every morning. He still coughs a little, but it isn't like it was when he was an infant.

One of the best things I found to do with my son is take him into the bathroom, shut the door, and turn the shower on hot water only. Of course, I did not put my child in this water. Just sit in the room with your baby. You will notice the congestion braking up. Also, I have used a vicks plug ins to help my son breath at night.

I try not to give my children any medication if I can help it. But, if it helps them; like singular has, I will help my children in any way I can.
