Any tips on getting pregnant the second time around? It took 6 months the first time, and we are now working on month 4 for the second time. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

Hi Kathryn,
The best thing you can do is relax. If you concentrate too much on falling pregnant it will take much longer. Go out for romantic dinners with your husband/partner, do romantic things that you enjoy together that will put the both of you in the mood, have fun rather than stress about it. On the science side of things......... you can purchase ovulation kits from the pharmacy or supermarket, this works much like a pregnancy test except it tells you when you are ovulating. They say that you need to have sex every 2nd day for a few months to increase your chances of falling pregnant quickly. They say every 2nd day because your partner needs time to build up supply inbetween "sessions". It took me 1yr to fall pregnant with my first daughter because we were trying so hard. I fell pregnant with my 2nd daughter whilst we were on holiday in Italy and not trying at all just having a good time with beautiful dinners and wine, walking along the anchient ruins and relaxing ;0) don't stress about it, it will happen just have fun in the meantime. :0)

Stress will prevent it from happening so try to relax and have fun with it. Have sex every other day during your fertile period. (But not every day because that decreases your husband's sperm count.) You can try an ovulation prediction test two weeks before your expected period to figure out when you are ovulating. Make sure you getting a lot of folic acid, dairy, and taking a prenatal vitamin. I read that an increase in dairy fats helps increase your chances. Also, exercise 3 times a week. A fertile friend of mine swears by having sex with a pillow under your butt. This slightly elevates your pelvis. Rest in the same position for a while before getting up. Good luck.

keep taking your vitamins look online for conceivable dates according to your last pms cycle and relax. It takes time and God will provide you with another one if thats his plan. Have fun raise your legs dont pee immediatly after you have intercorse and ummm vitamins for daddy too.
