Hello! I was wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant while on Implanon or know anyone who has. It's the implant birth control. I have had it for almost 2 years now, but have been having some pregnancy symptoms the last couple of weeks. I read online from a few people that said when you have Implanon, that a home pregnancy test will show negative even if you really are pregnant and that the only way to know if by a blood test or an ultrasound. If anyone knows any more information on this, I would really like to hear it! Thanks so much!!

Okay, so I'm freaking out. I've been on the Implanon since May 2011 &; I havent had a period since then. My fiance &; I just recently had unprotected sex, &; now, about a month later, my stomach is popping out, my head hurts, my back hurts, I'm hungry all the time &; sleepy plus I've been having weird dreams. I took a test, but it came out negative, but he still believes I am. What should I do? Please help!

Jo,yes, it scares me as well. It seems like the articles I have read where the women have gotten pregnant while on Implanon, the doctors cannot find the implant in their arm so a lot of them are saying the implant is somewhere in their body and can't be located or it was never inserted at all. Is that mostly what you have read too? And can you feel your implant in your arm? I can easily tell where mine is- I can feel it in my arm so i don't really understand how others just can't be found in the body. weird!!

from what has been said here recently in the uk, YES you can get preganant whilst on implanon....which scared the life outta me because i am also on implanon....

oh wow well I have the Implnon as well and have not heard about that. I guess make an appointment asap with ur doctor and find out.

Thanks Carly for the information! Idk if I'm pregnant or not, but gonna make an appt to see a doctor just in case. Even if I'm not, I'm gonna have the implant removed. I'm having other symptoms that I believe are b/c of Implanon. And clearly from reading several others posts, I'm not the only one! Anyways, thanks again!

There is a HUGE lawsuit going on oversees right now over this. I think it was about 1500 women who have gotten pregnant on implanon in the last few years. Here is one article http://www.nydailynews.com/lifestyle/hea...
