I agree with the giving them things they can chew on, little teething rings, and things like that. If your child is teething, you will be able to tell there bowels are more liquidy, and they drool more, their gums are swollen, some run temps, things like that. Then giving them things that are cold like the teething rings you put in the fridge, or some moms let their child chew on cold carrot sticks because it feels good on gums but the child can't actually take a bite on it. Things like that, just keep the harmful stuff out of the way and it should past.

baby proof as much as you can and put all dangerous things out of reach. also, i think you need to pick your battles around what you're ok with and what is not ok to put in his mouth. toddlers are curious little people and touching, pulling, ripping, feeling, tearing, eating etc are all part of them learning about the world around them. so for example, you obvious don't want him to eat small object/toys as they're a choking hazard but if he's chewing or biting on a corner of a blanket or sticking a book in his mouth would you be ok with that? they eventually grow out of but right now, your baby is at an age where he's learning and exploring the new world around him

she's teething and learning. give her some things to put in her mouth like a little coffee spoon or an ice cube inside of the food nettting thing or even a piece of frozen fruit so she can get some relief to her gums. but other than that, that is how they learn for a while, putting things in their mouth. also encourage her to try to use her spoon and fork at mealtime, they can start to learn now and it will give her something to work on at the table, but she won't master it for a few more months, so it'll be messy.
good luck!

My daughter did the same thing...and sometimes still does. The best thing I was able to do was keep most things out of reach from her, but of course you can't move everything higher then their arms can reach. Eventually she pretty much grew out of it...but with the age they are naturally curious.
