my 3 year old is the same way. he wont wear any clothes except his underwear. he runs around the house in his underwear all day he wont seep in clothes either. it must be a faze they go through. not sure how to get him to keep his clothes on. i put them on & he takes them off

I think just give him some time to potty train naked, maybe 2 weeks. Then re-introduce underwear. You may have some accidents when you first begin enforcing underwear but it will get better. :)

Thanks ladies! We haven't even got to the stage of going outside without a nappy, early days, I mean when we're home i can't get him to wear his pants at all but he's happy without or with a nappy. I did get him to wear them in the first day and that's when he had his accident and wet through them so I think that's what's put him off! Do u think he'll just eventually want to wear them the more potty training we do? Or do I need to keep on at him to wear them xx

My daughter potty trained her self while naked after a bath one day about 5 weeks ago. The first week and a half after that she was only successful if naked. I'm a SAHM so unless we needed to leave the house she was naked. The next week she only wore underwear. The next she wore pants but still in a diaper if we left the house. I never make her sit but I remind her to go if she needs to through out the day. Then the next week we began going out and nap w/o diapers. She still has the accidents occasionally and prefers to be naked but over all she is potty trained :) Yay!

So if the issue is that your son has accidents while dressed, just take it slowly. If the issue is just that you son refuses to wear pants then IDK.

Id suggest try explaining that there are some things that are to be left for home, tell him nobody else takes their pants off in public. Try allowing him to be pantless at home after being out to encourage that portion, taking steps and not demanding too much too soon. I had the issue with my Daughter taking her clothes off in public or taking inappropriately, just explained to her that it was something to be done at home and not in front of strangers, not that she understood much of it but it did seem to help. It was no different than her need to wear her pajamas everywhere, i would tell her she had to wear clothes to go (work, shopping, where ever) and once we got home she could put jammies back on. Did that a couple times and now have no issues with her wearing clothes period.

my son does the same thing and he's 5! He started by taking off his pants EVERYWHERE but now he just does it at home he got himself out of doing it in public.
