Honestly, I didn't read the thread on this as I only have a few mintues but I just had to take my little girl to Urgent Care last night because she had a fever and was drooling and fussing a lot and turned out she has something called Hand-Foot-Mouth disease, sounds much worse than it is but there is also another condition or whatever they told me about that usually has more vomiting and diahrea that is pretty much the same thing and it's called hermpengina. Either way your best bet is to take him to his dr and be sure it's not more serious. But both herpengina and hand-foot-mouth disease cause kids to not eat much, sore throat, can get blisters or just red spots in the mouth, it's called hand-foot-mouth because a lot of children get spots on their hand, feet and/or in the mouth.

My daughter hand spots just inside her diaper above her groin area yesterday morning and by midafternoon they were all over her tummy, back, neck and face. You could only see them close up and it's a viral infection so you just treat the pain, popsicles and ibuprofen but again would be best to have his dr look at him to be sure it's not something more serious. Hope this helps.

Also he said it can be misdiagnosed as an ear infection as it can cause the ear drum to be red as well as misdiagnosed as chicken pox because they can get blisters on their skin the same as chicken pox. If he was out around other kids it is quite possible that is what he has.I had never heard of any such thing before last night, both my girls are home with me but were out over the weekend in public places. Feel free to message me if you want more info

If she's still drinking, peeing and isn't dark under her eyes, I wouldn't worry. My doc says if it's a virus it'll pass. But she tells me to follow the BRAT diet. First day drink only clear fluids. Next day eat brat bananas, rice, applesauce, toast - these are all foods that are supposed help the diarrhea. If it continues after that, I'd take her in to the dr- or at least call them.

hi. my son was like that for a couple days and I took him to a walkin clinic and they ended up admitting him in hosp for dehydration. I'm NOT trying to startle you, but it would probably help to give the little one some pedialyte at least.

my daughter had that for 5 days and wouldnt eat or drink then i took her to the dr and they told me shes fine. she had no fever and eventualy got better. but she was scared to eat for a while after. she was not a puker from little so i was worried they told me it was intestinal and viral so no antibiotics will help. just pedialite until better, salted crackers.

sounds like food has made her sick. but then again... I am NOT a dr. so I don't know. do you have a health line in your area that you can call and talk to health professionals without actually going to a clinic? if so try them they know it all!
