I have solved a huge problem in my household that has been a big problem for a few months.

My 21 month old daughter is constantly stripping off her clothes....(Only at home thank god ,but 10 to 15 times a day... sometimes 5 times in a matter of 20 minutes). I was forever putting her clothes back on her. It was very frustrating. But I fixed the problem & wish to help others out by giving them my tip. I place all my daughters warm clothes on her & then over the top I put on a one piece sun smart swim suit (that zips up at the back & is 2 sizes to big for her ...so it fits over her clothes). It looks hilarious but works & It has removed a lot of frustration from our home. Hope this tip helps others.

my daughter just turned four, and she will still undress herself, sometimes I think she's just more comfortable while watching tv or playing if she is just in her underwear,

Sure I have 3 children also ages 12, 10, 2 years old, all of which have very healthy body images. I have cleaned up poop as my children are potty trained at home before the age of 2. I also live in Canada so I completely understand winters (children who are cold will not remove clothes), and like Lisbeth said that is what the house heat is for. I dont understand why people have issues with babys "bits and parts" hanging out. And like Lisbeth said also, your idea is cute. But I think my family would rather see a naked toddler then a child forced to wear a layer of clothing and then a bathingsuit like outfit over that. I am also sorry if you felt my tip was offensive, it was just another idea to frocing children to wear clothing they dont wanna wear.

Like I said b4 thank you for giving ppl a great idea I didn't think it would offend you and to answer your question yess I have had to clean poop but not that much as my daughter has been running around naked since she was born and knows when she needs to go so she sits on her potty she is 20 months and almost completely potty trained with almost no effort on my part. I live in Canada so yeah I do know about winter and yeah I still let her run around naked I just turned the heat up a bit. I understand that you don't feel comfortable with nakedness, I don't feel there is anything wrong with allowing my child to run around naked even in places like the beach. When she is older she will develop a sense of self consciousness and want to cover up but to each their own and I do think your tip was cute!!! lol I would like to see pics you should start a contest on funny ways you keep clothes on your toddlers.

In response to the comments. I have 3 children. A son nearly 19 years old & 4 year old daughter & a 21 month old daughter....I also have a big extended family therefore can have visitors dropping in at anytime of the day & I will not have my girls think it’s OK to run around naked showing off all their bits & pieces for anyone to see. I am a great mother & I let my daughters explore in other more productive ways, I spend many hours a day playing fun activities with them like pasting & drawing, doing crafts & dancing, singing, or playing outside with them.

I am toilet training my daughter & the first signs that I see that she need to go I take her to the toilet We spend a lot of time in the day going in & out that room LOL. She doesn’t make it every time but she is slowly getting there.

First I would like to ask...Have you either experienced this situation? ( your child continuously removing their clothes?)

2nd Have you either ever had to clean poo off the floor or bedding or anywhere your child has sat (day after day). It does get frustrating & anyone would agree with me on this. (there is nothing wrong with being frustrated)

& 3rd IT IS WINTER. I care enough about my daughter to keep her warm. & I don’t believe children should run around naked for everyone to see their bits. I am teaching my girls that this part of their body is private you don’t just run around naked for anyone to see. Sorry if this doesn’t sit right with you. But as a mother I do what I believe is right for my girls.

I completely agree with Amanda let them be free and naked it is completely natural and they need to explore their bodies just as much as their environment. Keep them naked and potty training b/c very simple. But thank you Gaye you were giving ppl a good and funny idea that helped you.

I dont understand how a child who removes their clothes is frustating, its a part of growing up, and learning how to dress ones self. I also have a tip about children removing clothes, let them run around naked, just the way they enjoy it! :0)
