just keep introducing the sippy cup or a regular cup and let them know that big kids use them and only babies need bottles. i slowly weened my daughter off the bottle by age 1. they make sippy cups with the soft straw, it reminds them of a bottle. if that doesnt work, u've got one tough cookie. lol

Hey I just went through this and I got the sippy cups from walmart I think they are nubby. Preston took them just like they were a bottle and I really had not much stress.

With my older son we actually got where we were down to only having 1 bottle because he always lost them. One morning I cut the nipple off the bottle and put about 2 ounces of water in it. Next to it I put a sippy cup of juice. When he woke up and asked for his bottle I brought him to the table where the 2 were sitting & I said "ba ba broke" He repeated me then picked up the bottle & tried to drink from it...he ended up spilling the water all over himself & kinda coughed on it a bit because the water poured out so fast. Then I handed him the cup & told him to try it & he did. I kept the "broken bottle" around for a few days with a little bit of water in it & he tried it a couple times but soon realized it truly was broken. Then I suggested to him that we just throw it away & he actually put it in the trash himself.

I mixed reg. milk w/ formula then slowly took the formula away each time, my kid refused it unless his milk was warm, but it did work for me

well I just broke my son from the bottle and he hated the fact of not going to bed w/o his ba ba, and even nap time, i took his bottle away completely and replaced it w/ a tummy tickler bottle, the ones that come w/ the characters on the lid w/ apple juice, well i found those are his favorite sippy cups so it took about 2 days to get him to stop wanting his ba ba, he would cry and scream, but eventually he figured out i wasnt giving in to him, and now he goes to bed and naps fine as long as he has that sippy in hand

I bought a sippie cup that had stages. the first stage is the sippie cup with a nipple, then the long nippie, and then the sippie cup nipple. it did wonders! and you can do it gradually. i did each abt a month! hope it helped!

I gradually started introducing sippie cups...I tried every brand available until my daughter found one she would drink out of...she definitely wasn't happy in the beginning but slowly I started replacing the bottle with the sippie until she got used to the sippie and then after a while I just took the bottle all together.
