i havent had this issue with my kids but ive heard of dipping their fingers in pepper or tabasco sauce whie asleep so when they wake up and go to bite their nails they get that icky taste and hopefully dont wanna do it again . dont know if any doc would aprove but thats what ive heard works sometimes.
