i had to put in the first lot by my self today and it was pure torture for both of us, was abit easier when my mum was there to do the next lot but i had to pin my 2.5yr old down with my knees and forse his head to hold still and open his eyes all at the sametime with him screaming mummy hurting me :( i felt like a failure especially when he was craddled in my arms and i was saying sorry for hurting you but i had to... he looked at me and inbetween sobs he looked at me and said im sorry mummy, i swear i died right then and there...
what do you others do when it has to be done? even it you know its gonna hurt them?

Did they give you the gel or drops? My daughter when she had it when she was a year old and they originally gave the gel. I called back and asked for the drops because it was way to hard to get the gel in and the drops were easier. I would just explain to your son that he needs it to make his eyes better, it doesn't hurt it just makes their vision blurry for a few minutes. Have you tried bribing with a special treat afterwards to make it better? We've done that before with medicines.
