How long does it take to stop lactating after you stopped breastfeeding?

I stopped breastfeeding 13 months ago and shortly after I stopped producing milk... so I thought. Recently I have noticed that my breasts still lactate, not as much as they did when I breast fed, but enough to make my shirt wet.. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have breastfed 4 kids and when I decide that I am done, I put green cabbabe leaves in my bra. The coolness of the leaves soothes engorgement in the beginning but a chemical in the leaves signals your body to stop production. I always wean my kids at about a year old and it takes me about 1-2 weeks to stop milk production.

Yes, I stopped breastfeeding about 8 months ago and only stopped producing milk (I think!) about two months ago. It's very common to keep producing milk and can go on for months or even years!

Any of you not have your menstrual cycles while still lactating? It's been about 9 months since I stopped nursing and no period but still lactating. I had blood work done and everything is normal with the exception of a higher level of prolactin. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue.

Yes, If I lay on my stomach too long or lean on something too long I leak. I stopped breastfeeding 6 months ago. I definitely wish it would stop, it's annoying.
