How many days does a child have to stay dry to be considered potty trained?

Last month we started a progress chart and everyday he stays dry he gets a sticker. The most days he had was 10 days in a row. He is 2 yr 5 mos, and he stays dry through out the night every night since he turned 2 with few accidents.

Wow that is so good!!! I would say that he is potty trained for sure! Especially if he's staying dry through the night. I think there will always be some days that there will be accidents but for the most part he seems to understand to use the potty so that to me is trained. My daughter is 27 months and is pretty good during the day but still has to wear a nappy at night.

If he goes potty consistantly throughout the day he is considered potty trained even if he still wears a pull up to bed. Accidents happen in the beggining, its ok. But if he can go 10 days wiTh no accident i would say hes doing pretty good & i would consider him potty trained. In my opinion i would say he's there!! congrats :)

Oh thank you! Now he has 14 days in a row and has been using the bathroom on his own about half the time. :) Then tells me after and says "mommy I went pee. I high five?" It's so cute. Good Job to your LO :)
