Unfortunately, every child is different. I am on my third time around with potty training and my son absolutely refuses! My first son I did the every 15 min and he was trained in two weeks. I tried the same with my daughter and it took her almost nine months before she stopped having wet accidents. So now I am on my third. I am going to try the 15 min thing again but I don't have all the time I did with my first. If I try something different and it works, I will write it here. Though I don't suggest pull ups, it does confuse the kids because they are more like diapers rather than underwear. Go straight to the panties, let her chose them at the store, get a little toilet and have patience and a good amount of floor/carpet/furniture cleaner. I would also suggest mattress padding or plastic sheets. Good Luck!

i would suggest going from nappies to the potty...using toilet training pants confuses kids...buy your kid underpants with their favorite characters on them - this encourages them to keep the underpants on...when you want to start training, one weekend, keep them without nappies during the day, and encourage them to use the potty every time there is an accident...be prepared to clean up some messes from the floor...good luck!

I am startiing my 21 month old now and well she says pee pee and poo poo but has not done it in the potty yet has peed on the floor and pooped on the floor twice but I am just hoping she will take to it soon. I have a 5 year old and hoping she will want to use the potty with her big sister maybe that will help. My 5 year old was tough she started pooping in the potty the first time she pooped she never stop pooping in the potty but it took her forever to control her pee pee. She was over 3 until she was fully trained I think is was because she would get busy playing and not want to take the time out to use the potty. Good luck I believe ever child is diffrent and you need to handle it in diffrent ways.

I would love the answer to that, my son Owen is 2 and transitioned from diapers to pull ups and no potty training success.

i went and bought potty time with elmo the dvd and book. i bought her a dora potty seat. and i got her some BIG GIRL panties.. i introduced her to the videos and read her the book a million times and i let her wear BIG GIRL panties over her diaper...after a week or two i let her wear just panties and limited her liquids. asked her like every 15-20 min if she had to do pee pee or poo and if its been a while i would jus put her on. when she sat on the potty i would read tthe book ..and then step outside the door to let her look at the book and try to go by herself. if she went i would praise her. she had some accidents first few days i let her know that pee pee in her pants or on the floor was not good. after 2-3 weeks she started getting the hang of it.. we started going out with panties in stead of pull ups.. now its been 3 months and she is doing great. i still put a pull up on her at night but i stop her liquids like 7 or 8 o'clock at night and i make her do pee pee before she goes into bed. most mornings she wakes up dry. it takes alot of patience but this worked for me. everyones child is diff and will be ready at diff times but it doesnt hurt to keep trying. :)
