how to potty train ur kids?

my daugher is 2 1/2 and she will poop on the potty but will not pee on it i have tried runing the water while she is on i have trying doing things while she is on the potty i tried putting her on the potty every 30, 45 mins and she will sit there for like 5 mins then want up then like 5 to 10 mins later she will pee,when she does actually potty on the potty she crys like she did something wrong i try to praise her i try give her things i dont know what to do i know she knows she peeing when she has to pee she will stand and open her legs up a lil then pee and by the time i get to her she is done and i would just take my time with it but i feel bad becuz she can change her own diaper and thats sad.... please help

Try saying the potty is thirsty, That help mine they thought it kept it from hurting. It may or may not work. Do a little cheer may sound corney but go pee pee go pee pee or make up a pee pee dance. Hey your dealing with a child think like them hope it helps and works out

I bought a book when my first was 10 months old. It suggested I started training when she started walking...That turned out to be a week after her first birthday. I put her potty in front of the TV while her favorite show Barney was on. If we went outside to play, it came with us. I kept her in her big girl panties all the time. (Sometimes inside she would run around naked. When she went, we would give her either stickers or Lolipops..(which was a real treat because she wasn't allowed candy)But she was trained through the day by the time she was 15 months old. Night-18 months.(By accident,,,I ran out of pull ups 1 night and couldn't get to the store..) I wasn't so forceful with the next 2. I kinda let them do it on their own. But it really never got to the point where there was a problem with them either. If there was,,,I would have done what I did with my first daughter. But,,,it would have been harder if I had to work. I stayed home with her so this method is definitely not for all moms. Good Luck :0)

My son was around 2 1/2 when he told me that he didn´t want his diapers any more. But he never went on his potty so I tried to sit him on his toilet seat - and that was it. He just didn´t like sitting on a potty and when I finally allowed him to go to the toilet he felt "bigger" and it worked out great.

for our 2 yr old, we had the potty in our toilet and every time we went she went to. it worked really well for her. fully toilet trained by 19 months. try using a toilet seat instead of a potty. good luck.

On thing that we did was a potty chart. It worked great for my son. We would put a sticker on the chart for every time he went and award him with a DVD (not toys) once he completed a week. The poo poo fairy is a long story and I was at my wits end.

try putting her on the potty first thing in the morning (right when she wakes up)and b4 she goes 2 sleep thats when most people go pee pee thats what i do with my little girl she is 1
