My son will be four in a few weeks and I'm trying to get him off the sippy cup but having trouble. How'd you wean them off of it?

I started weaning my son off of the sippy cup when he was 18 months old. I gave him regular cups threw out the day and night time he had a sippy cup for bed. When he was 2 years old he didn't even notice that i got rid of the sippy cups. Good luck

With my daughter (shes 3) i got her off the sippy at 2. I had a hard time she would wake up and want a sippy cup of milk like 3 times durning the night and I finally got sick of it lol so I told her that shes a big girl now and big girls drink from cups like mommy and daddy. So if she got thirsty id give her a cup of milk. She stopped wanting milk at night because it wasnt in a sippy cup and if she wanted a sippy i gave her a regular cup. now she only drinks from cups. I dont kno if that helps..but thats what I did..
