Unless there are known allergy concerns (family history, other allergies, etc.) smooth or creamy peanut butter can be fine for any child able to eat solids. Just like any other new foods you introduce it with very small servings and watch for any reactions. If there is a concern there are many peanut butter subsitutes such as sunflower butter or soy nut butter.

A snack we tried the other day and our son loved was crackers with tinned smoked tuna spread on it. One that we used to have growing up was celery sticks filled with cheese or peanut butter.

string cheese...you can even find it made with whole milk instead of 2%. my daughter eats anything and everything, I'm so grateful she isn't picky. We try to eat healthy at my home, (I was a vegan for 6 years) so my mother instilled healthy eating habits in me. You don't want to give a toddler under 2 peanut butter, otherwise that's a great idea. Granola bars (chewy), fruit, veggies, maybe cut back on some of the snacks and focus more on balanced meals with whole grains & high protein which will sustain them more? Also, hunger pains are often mistaken and can actually be the body's way of saying its dehydrated. My daughter gets 2 drinks of milk a day (breakfast & dinner) and gets 1 (sometimes 2) drinks of juice/water mix a day. The rest of the day she drinks water...and she drinks A LOT of it. She's drank 3-4 16.9oz bottles of water in a day besides her milk & juice! My husband is 6'6" and I'm 5', my daughter took after him, and eats SOOOO much its unbelievable but she's not over weight. She's always been off the charts for weight & height, but has maintained being proportonate. She only snacks 2x day between meals, but she eats great at mealtime! I've noticed if I let her snack more, she eats smaller meals. Granted she goes through growth spurts like any kid and eats even more than normal. Hopefully my experience helps even though I didn't have lots of snack ideas for you.

We like to put peanut butter on mini rice cakes or on the big ones and then decorate with fruit slices.

I usually make a tub of fruit salad that my kids can pick at between meals if they are feeling a bit hungry.

My son likes hummas, edimome beans and gaucamole. Very weird kid.....we have them in the house all the time. He likes to "dunk" chips etc and all are full of protein. He also really likes Cliff Kids Bars. They are the perfect size and he calls them "chocolate bars". You can get them at Target in a 6 pack. They actually do taste pretty good.

Spread peanut butter on a tortilla, put a peeled whole banana on it and roll it up! My kids love it! Add a glass of milk and you have a wholesome, delicious snack! Their other favorite is dry cereal in a cup.

My son likes yogurt, cheese, or fruit (apples, bananas, or grapes). I keep nutri-grain bars on hand for a snack on the go. He also likes graham crackers with peanut butter.

I would suggest anything high in protein. I tend to keep cereal handy. I also agree with Gia my son loves apples and peanut butter. There are times my son will even ask for a peanut butter sandwich for a snack
