Why don't you try one of those cushie toilet seats, that sit on the toilet. I bought mine from Big W? He might feel like a big boy then?

When your child is ready, he will go. You will know when he is actually ready. Every child is different. My daughter stop wetting at night and started to go a long time in between wet diapers, that's how I knew that she was ready. Just have the potty easiy accessible to him and he will start to tell you that he has to go. Whatever you do, don't force it. Good luck!

My eldest daughter was a pro at 18 months.I allowed her to visit the potty everytime I went, until she finally went on her own.

get the free potty training video from huggies. my daughter watched it everyday and started using the potty herself. small prizes helped a great deal. i would give her 5 m&ms each time she went. she has done great, and now she is fully trained day and night in just 4 months time. good luck to you.

Hello Christian. First we went together to pick out a potty chair. I sat it in the bathroom close to the big potty. He already knew what it was for because he had always seen us going in the big one. I tried a couple of different methods. First I tried giving him stickers everytime he went and puting them on display. That didn't work so I took a piggy bank he had gotten and had him decorate it with stickers and called it his "potty piggie." Everytime he went I put some kind of change in it. I told him he could go to the store and buy a new toy once he had put enough money in there. He loved it! I would let him put the money in there on his own so he could also experience the idea of saving money. I also took the diapers away and he had to wear underwear. Even if he peed on the floor. Which he did a few times! But he did great. Just find what excites your child to want to do good. I prefered the piggy bank over food rewards but every child is different. And you really have to take them to the potty constantly. Good luck to you. I know you can do it!

MY DAUGHTER WOULD NOT POTTY TRAIN FOR FOR ANYTHING I TRIED SINCE SHE WAS 18 MONTHS AND NOTHIN.... BUT I WAS WORKIN FULL TIME ALSO. SO IT WAS PRETTY HARD WHEN THE SITTER OR DAYCARE WOULDNT HELP. ONCE I WENT ON MATERNITY LEAVE AND WAS ABLE TO TRAIN HER ALL DAY IT WAS CAKE.... FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF MATERNITY LEAVE I LEFT HER BUTT NAKED. I MEEN JUST NO PULL UP DIAPER PANTIES ETC.... BUT BY THIS TIME SHE WAS ALREADY 2 AND A HALF SO.... IT WAS KINDA STRESSFUL BUT IT WORKED...... SO I SUGGEST U JUST LEAVE YOUR CHILD WITHOUT ANY UNDERPANTS ON... IT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I put my two girls on the potty, before they went to bed, when they woke up, before and after each meal, then they started sitting on there by themselves (probably sick of me putting them on there). I live in a split level home, so I also put a potty on both levels. In warmer weather (when they started), I put them in underpants, so each time they wet there pants, they were more aware than putting them in those nappy pants, that soaks it up more...

Potty Prizes! I got some small toys for Target, put them in a see-through container and placed them on the back on the toilet. (I even decorated it with paint pens to make it and eye catcher!) My little guy would get so excited to get a Potty Prize, that he went potty every hour! (he only got a prize if he actually went potty) In one week, he was out of diapers and wearing underwear accident free. He was 20 mo. and fully potty trained!

Remember boys can take a little longer to potty train. My boy we just took him often to the potty. We also would have him just wear underwear. When he'd mess in his underwear it'd be uncomfortable and he'd want to change and wouldn't want to go in his underwear anymore. Still wears a pull up at night and naps, but during the day just underwear. Keep it consistent. He'll be going in no time!

We started with taking our son and sitting him down and reading to him. He is siiting on the pot or the toilet, books are stacked on the sink, and as long as he wants to listen to a book, we read. Usually 2 or 3. After a few times, he holds the books and sits by himself. He is not fully on the pot yet, but we are getting there. I'll be relieved when he has his bowel movement in the toilet and not in the Pull up. Good luck!
