International travel with a 14 month old...

Has anyone travelled by plane overseas with an extremely independent, stubborn, very active 14 month old? I'm travelling from Australia to the UK in 9 days time, and I'm beginning to freak out! 10 hours, then a 2 hour stop-over, and then another 7 hours... :-O HELP!

Thanks Jenny. I think it's what I'm going to have to do. Try to wear her out a bit while I can. We are flying with my mother-in-law (lol) so she will help a little. I've never been on an international flight and I'm hoping there will be room to walk up and down aisles! The biggest pain is the flight leaves at 6AM - my daughter's wake-up time. So she will be up and at 'em. Wish me luck!

I just finished traveling from the U.S to Germany which was a 2 hour flight, then a 4 hour stop over, then a 9 hour flight! My advice is to try and keep your little one up when you are waiting at the airports so that your little one sleeps for most of the flight. And have tons of snacks....since your baby is very active...while you're waiting for you flight walk around so that your baby doesnt get antsy in the plane! Its what I had to do with my daughter
