Does anyone have any suggestions on specific questions we should ask when interviewing preschools?

Think about what is important to you about how your child is taken care of. If they are little (babies) you may ask how the child is put to rest (back or tummy), how they work feeding schedules and so on. I would also want to know the adult to child ratio. I prefer child care providers with more adults to help with the load. A red flad should go up if there seems to too many kids and not enough adults to care for them. Also trust your gut. If you feel uneasy about a certain place... don't send your child there... Your gut is usually right.

i think this depends on what you are looking for.
do you want a play-based preschool? or a more "academic" one (yes, i know of preschools that do worksheets!)?
what kind of discipline plan are you looking for?
do you need a specific schedule? or are you just going full time?
how available do you want the director to be?
i think as you visit more schools and get a sense of what *you* are looking for, that will guide your questions. i didn't really know what to ask until i found a place i *loved*, then all my questions at other places were focused on comparing them to the place i liked.
