Is it possible to over feed my baby when she is feeding herself.

no, we need to trust our kid's ability to know when they've had enough, assuming it is healthy food. If it's junk, then I'd be concerned.
There is a really rare condition where people don't have the part in their body that tells the brain they've had enough. This gets to be a problem. But if she is in the healthy weight range, I wouldn't worry.
I have read that Parents control the "what", Child controls the "How Much"

i don't think they can over feed themselves. if she loves to eat, enjoy it. it's an annoying issue for me, feeding, our 2 1/2 yr old is extremely picky, won't try anything new. or 12 mo old won't let me feed her anymore - it's either baby food EVERYWHERE or i cut up table food and she feeds herself. i always like to try to give the little one a bottle on my lap afterward just to be sure she gets enough of the important stuff. i think they get tired after a bit, so i like to be sure.
