my daughter just turned two. we are reading to her and talking to her, and pointing words out. she wont talk. she says some words but wont talk much, she wont say her body parts or point them out, she just seems to not be interested. what do we do?

I say if your not worried about a speech disability I would keep doing everything you are doing make it as fun as possible but don't push her she will speak when she is ready. I play games with my little girl she is 21 months and speaks quite well for her age. For things like body parts I will hind her toes under a blanket and say "were have your toes gone", then pull the blanket off and say "Peek-a-boo toes" or while I am giving her a bath I will say things like "i need to wash your foot" and she will give me her foot. Another fun body part game is when her bath is done and I am putting lotion on I will pour some into my had and then a bit into her hand and I dip my finger into the lotion and dab a bit on a part and say " poke thigh" or " poke foot", So what I am trying to say is make fun little games out of everything.
