Is anyone out there still concerned about the MMR vaccine? Sounds like the link to autism is being de-bunked by medical studies, but real moms like Jennie McCarthy swear there's a link. Anyone out there have a toddler with bad side effects of this shot? Thanks for you thoughts.

My lo is sick at the moment, but I'll def give it to her, my friend gave it to her son when he was 18mo's with no side affects. So far she had all her shots except the prevenar, but also will give it to her when she's better.

Hi, my son had the MMR vaccine 3 months ago. He did not have any side effects. I am currently doing my honours in psychology and I did a thesis on autism. There really is no real link to vaccines and autism. The reason that parents think it's the vaccines particularly the MMR is because up until around 18 months a child with autism develops normally and does not show any signs of being autistic until about 18 months. There isn't anything that causes autism and it isn't anything that the mother did wrong during pregnancy or after birth.

I used 2 be, but not anymore. I am very skeptical when it comes 2 shots and my 2 yr old. I didn't do the rotovirus, influenza, hepatitis a. it took me awile 2 even give her the hep b shots as in ten years they have 2 have a titer. i didn't see the point in giving it 2 her when she was a baby. My daughter did not have any side effects from the mmr.
