My 1 1/2 year old son sleep walks.

I was just looking for some kind of remedy. He sleep walks all around the house every nite. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning he will be on the couch sleeping. I have also woken up in the middle of the night to him just standing next to the bed staring at me. It scared me and woke me out of a deep sleep. I was jus wondering what sort of suggestions anyone may have for sleep walking toddlers.

My friends son does this, and to prevent him from getting hurt, she put a child safety gate in his doorway. Not right level with the ground, she raised it a little so it was higher in the doorway - but not so high that he can get under it. She just waited it out. He stopped at about 3 years old, started when he was about 2.



 



I`m not sure if that helps at all, but it will definitely prevent him from being hurt. I have heard your not supposed to wake people who sleep walk? Not sure if that`s true or not, but I would say put him back into bed and give him something to drink.. It worked with my siblings when they were younger.
