Ok so my son vomits frequently. Sometimes its because he is really upset, crying and gets himself worked up then vomits. Other times its because he has mucus build up in the back of his throat and cant cough it out so it gags him. Some times its because he is sick. But other times its for no known reason. Its happened about once a month or once every few weeks. I'm wondering if he has some sort of problem with his gag reflex or something. Any one else have this problem? It doesn't seem to be the food he eats because I haven't noticed him doing it eating certain foods, or eating the same foods again doesn't cause him to vomit again.

Autum: What did you find out about your son. My 2 1/2 year old is VERY similar to this. When I asked the Dr. they said he was gaining weight so weren't concerned. But it disturbs me.

Also I forgot to mention, he gags when I try to brush his teeth for him, even though I'm no where near the back of his throat. The toothbrush touches the back sides of his tongue and he gags.

Krystle, he sometimes eats fast, stuffing his mouth with food, so that would make sense some of the time.

I haven't really heard of vomiting being common among toddlers. My son will throw up if he eats too much and then goes to bed, or if he is sick. Perhaps you should take your little one to the doctor to get checked out, just in case.
