My 3yr old girl will not keep her clothes on

Dont feeling bad! My 2 year old does it too!! She will never wear clothes unless we are out of the house! She will get dressed so we can go somewhere and once we walk in the door she strips down to nothing! We put a lot of lotion on her to help with dry skin in case that is what is bother her. But mostly the doctors have told us its a comfort deal! Some children feel more comfortable without clothes on. My 3 year old is just the opposite! She will cry and cry if she doesn't have clothes on and by clothes I mean at all time! She will have pants/shorts and a top on with her undies. If not she will cry until she does. If it gets a lil wet from a drink or gets a lil food on it she flips out and has to change her clothes! My best advise is to lotion your little girl in case she has dry skin and let her be comfortable in her own skin she will grow out of it.

My daughter used to run around the house naked, but i had to remind her that she needs to cover her private areas. Nowadays, she runs around the house in her ballerina costume. sometimes she'll even where her tu tu to the park.

my nearly 3 yr old does the same thing, she would rather wear nothing all day when we are home, i would try to get her to wear undies but when she goes to potty she takes them off. it could be just a phrase

Some children have a sensitivity to certain fabrics try different types with her maybe she is having something like that. My niece just does not like to wear clothing but will keep a dress on over anything else.

If she has bumpy or dry skin she might have eczema. My daughter would complain about her clothes until we started to give her baths with oatmeal soak powder in it and she no longer has that problem. Or she might like having the freedom to be able to take off her clothes. Children love being independent and that might be one way that she feels that she can be independent and do something on her own.

you need to remember that young children have much more sensitive skin than adults and older children do. It is possible your girl might have a slight skin allergy to something in the material of the clothes, but if she isnt breaking out in hives i wouldnt stress. It is possible that it is just a stage she is going through. My boy at the moment is going through a stage of taking his pants off all the time. Just try to be patient if this is the case. she will learn soon enough, and just let her be a kid

My daughter went through the same thing. She still won't wear underpants so if we are out for the day she has to wear tights, shorts or trousers to keep her "modest". she used to strip right down to nothing but that soon passed but she still preffers to wear loose dresses or tops. She was also the same with her seat belt but that too was just a phase.
