My baby also has started two really bad habits and I have no idea why. She's telling small lies and she's also stealing like when we go to the grocery store she will pick up candy and put in her purse stuff like that the stealing only happen twice but I'm still worried about it I've spoke to her about it and she says she won't do it any more any advice guys

I have a 6 year old and she has started to lie too. She hasn't stolen but the lying really bothers me. Make her pay for it out of her own money. Don't put it back. Does she get an allowance? Or instead of buying her what she really wanted, make the candy bar be it.
If she lies she get's something taken away, plain and simple. Something important to her. OR you could make her write, "I will not lie" a 100 times. That sure would keep me from lying if I were 6. Or maybe 50.
If my 6 year old tried to steal something I would make her go to the cashier and tell her what she was about to do and then make her pay for it. Quite embarrassing. You have to nip tha right away.
