My daughter is 2 and will be 3 this march. she goes pee just fine and at one point went poo. I have rewarded her with snacks prized and even made several different potty charts. It worked but then she decided she wants to wear "baby diapers". She has regressed from going poo for the last 4 months just about. I don't know what else to do. I tell her she is a big girl and if she wants to do gymnastics she needs to go potty like a big girl, but continues to have accidents. She has this thing where she will hide go poo in her pants. I really could use some advice from other moms. Thanks!

I tried this with my toddler and it worked. Make teddy do his business and clean uim up i'd say and he'd faithfully sit there waiting..: after a while he'd pick him up and say no no poo... . Then i'd say, well can you show him how to do it and he'd start sitting on the potty and start pushing him bowels with a huummm sound. This went on for a few days. We'd do teddy everytime he needed to go and eve ntually one day he did it. We' ve had accidents but not anymore.

Have you been giving too much attention to a baby (can be yours or anybodys). This can make uour child seek attention and behave in this manner.

Another way is to get close fitting thin underwear that'd be uncomfortable with poop in it.

This is a hard one. It is so hard to know what to do and how to get them to do what you want them to do. Since she has decided to wear "baby diapers" what I would do is say then ok, but that also means we treat you like a baby and you don't get to do some of the things big girls get to do. I would take out her favorite snacks/treats and say well babies can't eat these so that means you can't have these either. When she askes to do something that is a big girl thing say no babies can't do that so that means you can't. Make it not fun being a baby. And then remind her that if she wants to be a big girl and go potty like big girls then she can do that thing she wanted or eat that snack/treat.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

Yep not fun when you are having to clean out the pants. I have a 3 yr old day care kid that I am struggling with on this. She just does not care and that is SO frustrating! Her parents started training her at 22 months....so she has been in underwear since then. The poopy underwear is getting pretty old. We did the treats if she woke up from her nap not poopy (that is when she would usually do it) and that worked for awhile. But now we are back to going in our pants again. So the baby thing is my next thing I am trying. She LOVES fruit snacks, so since babies can't eat fruit snacks I told her that if she wanted to be a baby and go in her pants she can get fruit snacks....only big girls get those. We will see if that works.....crossing my fingers!!!!
