I've started letting my son decorate his potty with stickers. Everytime he sits on the potty (clothed or not) he gets a sticker. I've told him that if he actually USES the potty, then he gets a piece of candy. So far he hasn't actually gone, but he's so cute when he REALLY tries. The only downside is that I've created a sticker monster & I think he just sits there for that fact alone. Oh well, I fugure you gotta lose some to win some. Other than that, we just try and take him everytime we go & ask him a lot if he wants to sit on the potty. HTH!

My son is almost 3 and hates to sit on the potty. Everyone I talk to says not to push him, boys are usually stubborn and lazy and they will do it in their own time. Try to make it a game, or give him a little prize when he goes. My son knows if he goes in the potty all day long then he gets a surprise.. it hasn't happened yet, but it makes him a little more willing to go.

Most boys won't start potty training until close to three. My son is two and also has absolutely no interest in potty training - he doesn't even know when he's wet. If it persists past age three, I would talk to your pediatrician, but I wouldn't worry about it right now. Hope that helps!
