OKay I asked this question about a few days ago... maybe a week... but CANNOT find it!!! SO HERE IT IS AGAIN SO I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE ANSWERS-- When I say crazy, strange, weird, unheard-of names I mean ALL of them... Any names you have heard and had to think twice about or that you just plain thought I would NEVER in a million years name my kid that... I LOOOOOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM! And the few girl names I have suggested have been vetoed out of hand, so Any names you could give me that you find unorthodox, RARE (like if you know more than 3 people named that, it is not rare (enough)), names you had never even heard before OH AND BOY OR GIRL, NEW OR OLD, PLEASE type 'em up! :) Thanks lovely ladies!

not that these names are crazy, but my husband thought it would be funny if someone had a boy and a girl and named the boy Ben and the girl Jemima. So when they grow up and have their own kids the kids would have an uncle Ben and aunt Jemima. :D

I named my two boys Elias (unusual but not unheard of) and Ezra (very rare, however it is a book in the Old Testament). Both my husband and I have fairly common names for the areas in which we grew up. I wanted something not too off the wall, but uncommon enough that when someone shouts their name in high school they don't have to wonder if it's for them or someone else.

Weirdest name I ever heard was for a baby girl. Her brother and sister were in my sixth grade class (very close in age but not twins). Their mother let them name the new baby after they helped deliver her at home. The name they picked out was Hoopla Sparkle.

My husband really like Ophelia...it all started when I was 7 months pregnant and saw a commercial about the Duggar family...I joke that we should name all of our kids with the letter O (our oldest is Olivia)..to go even further I said we should use names from Shakespeare. I came up with Opheila and Othello (it was a joke) Well, my husband really loved Ophelia. But I was set on Madeline and said "no" He's still holding out if we have another girl.

I use to know a family and their children were named Australia, September, and Dallas, and Junie (for June). They were named for when or where they were conceived. Then there was the story going around our school system of the child named Nosmo and his family came up with the idea while looking at a "No Smoking" sign.

do what the celebrities do -- pick the names of foods, drinks, cities, bridges, weather patterns and countries. second option - pick up a book of names -- there is usually a chapter on odd and strange.
