My Eamon is the same height and weight as when he was 10 months old. He is between 22 and 23 lbs. and about 29 inches tall. He gets alot of the usual illnesses from daycare and then doesn't eat much, but his usual appetite is okay. His doc is not worried; he's met his milestones early and is always very active. I'm very concerned. He was 9 lbs. 13 oz. at birth and 21 inches and grew steadily until 6 months when he started crawling. I know a drop off is expected at that point, but a four month standstill? Any one else experienced this?

That is actually perfectly fine. At around one he will have another growth spurt and grow a whole lot and it will throw you through a loop. As long as the doc is not worried and he is still thriving and eating and doing developmental things he will be fine! After 6 mos there are milestone growth spurts, 12 mos, 18 mos 2 years and so on.

While it's perfectly normal for your child to slow down in growth, it's also perfectly normal to be worried about them. With my son, it was eating. He would eat normally one day and the next wouldn't eat anything. Even when the doctor said not to worry, I did. There's nothing wrong with that. If Eamon's healthy, just small, try not to lose sleep over it. Some kids just don't grow to be that big and are small all their lives. Size doesn't matter as much as whether or not he's healthy. Hope this helps a bit.

Perfectly normal, my kids all slowed down growing big time around those ages because they were early movers. My youngest now has only gained a total of 4 lbs since 10 months, shes 2. She eats like a horse, but burns everything she eats.

If your doctor isnt worried, you shouldnt be too.
